Music City

Caleb and I had such a fun time celebrating our anniversary this past weekend in Nashville, TN. We will have been married 2 years on October 7th! Due to the Titans having an away game next weekend, we opted to celebrate a weekend early.

After a complete fiasco regarding our game tickets, we finally got on the road. Saturday we got to check out some amazing bluegrass music at a swanky little joint called the Bluegrass Inn. We took a seat at the bar, drank delicious Tennessee micro brews and tapped our toes away.

Following our afternoon bluegrass listening session, we explored a little through downtown. Found a cool dog riding a horse...

and the finest showgirls in Nashville...

Last and certainly not least, we awoke from a fun night to go watch the Titans beat the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 30-17. This win led the Titans to go 4-0 for the first time in franchise history! Go Titans!

Save the Date

This past weekend, I filled my weekend with relaxation and a little graphic design. The Funky Elegant Swirl Save the Date is my newest design and one of my favorites. It has gotten an overwhelming positive response in the last few days, so I thought I would share it on here and hopefully it will give you some inspiration! As always, I would love to know your thoughts.

Tabby Cat

An absolutely beautiful morning here in Birmingham. I hope that you are also experiencing this perfect weather. The morning light is coming in my office window and my tabby cat, Veda, is hanging out under my stool catching some rays.

I have been trying for quite some time to get some shots of her eyes open. She is notorious for closing them the moment the camera snaps. Today, however, I caught her gazing into the sunlight herself.

Here's what I got!

I Heart Etsy

Etsy is such a great resource for unique items. I think I become more addicted each day to both selling...and buying! Check out this YouTube video that a few Etsy sellers got together to make.

Pure Inspiration

Well, if this is not enough inspiration to just get you up and moving, I'm not sure that anything will work for you! haha

Mom and dad went for a morning jog with precious Kona this morning and she was, needless to say, a bit exhausted when we got back. We were home less than 5 minutes when we found her sprawled out on the bed!

Fall Designs

A steady flow of nature's inspiration lead to these two new fall paper designs. What do you think? You can click on the photo if you would like to see more details on each.

Last Touch of Summer

Last week, I had such a fun photo shoot with Cheryl at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It was a beautiful day to stroll through the gardens and get some amazing shots of a lovely lady!

Doesn't she look beautiful?

A Season for Change

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. After recovering from sweltering heats, it feels nice to have the temperatures begin to cool and for this season's blooms to fall away into a new colorful and changing season.

The colors of the leaves change in the Northeastern US like they do nowhere else I have ever seen. These photos were taken with my old point and shoot camera. One day I walked outside and it seemed as if the trees changed overnight. I looked up and BAM! beautiful fall colors were painting the skies everywhere. Time for a new season, time for change. I find these photos to be quite inspiring and hope you do too!

These 3 photos were taken in NYC, in 2004, around the streets of my neighborhood, in Chelsea and the West Village.

Sloss Furnaces

Busy with many projects, I have neglected to feed my blog. Although, during the time away, I have only created much more material to fill upcoming post.

On Friday, while doing some research for a job, I went out to Sloss Furnaces and took some photos to add to my own growing personal collection of stock photography. For those of you who do not know, Sloss Furnaces, which is a National Historic Landmark, helped to build the city of Birmingham, AL, by producing iron for over 90 years. Check out these photos.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

One non stop source of inspiration for me is nature. Each aspect of nature has its own sense of awe inducing emotions. Flowers, in particular, are simply fascinating.

Any time I travel, I try to hit up whatever garden or other type of conservatory that the city may have to offer. I have yet to regret making this decision and in turn, have seen some of mother nature's most incredible creations.

This radiating purple water lily was seen in the Conservatory of Flowers - Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA. I highly recommend visiting if you have never been. It's fairly small, but what is there is beautiful.

These two rare finds were also in the Conservatory. I wish I could remember the names. If anyone knows, please feel free to share.
